The Trail of Wild Garlic

The Trail of Wild Garlic is a beautiful and spiritual easy hike year round, however the fields of wild garlic are only early Spring.

We understand that not everyone wants to, or can, do strenuous 6 – 10+ hours of hiking / exploring off the beaten tracks.

The Trail of Wild Garlic is for the spiritual hikers among us that enjoy a stunning and exciting 2-3 hour loop.

This trail is listed under “Off the beaten tracks” even though we do follow quite a few trails and tracks, however none of these are marked.

Trail of the Wild Garlic takes you along ancient trails to numerous Prehistoric caves, shelters, a sacred Prehistoric site, natural springs, stunning views and of course fields of wild Garlic.

This easy / moderate hike has been put together by the historic 12th Century former farmhouse / monastery B&B Ferme de Tayac and Walking Dordogne.

The Trail of Wild Garlic loop starts and ends at Ferme de Tayac, is about 6km and takes about 2-3 hours depending on “exploring time”

The Trail of Wild Garlic is a MUST for the “Spiritual” hiker, who will definitely appreciate the very strong and wonderful vibes that radiate from this amazing and sacred area.
